The Center’s key role in the broader digital storytelling community is reflected by the fact that we have trained so many of the individuals and groups who are now carrying out their own projects.
This week-long Train the Trainer workshop explores in more depth the principles, methods, software tools, and curriculum issues that experienced technology educators must consider when teaching the digital storytelling process in their own environments. The workshop is conducted as a retreat in Ukiah, California, about 2 hours north of San Francisco. Topics covered in the workshop include facilitation of the story circle, script editing, how to teach software tutorials, and how to plan and manage a digital storytelling workshop to fit your specifc program needs.
