I'm working on a dissertation about "lost and found" photos. My website (www.lostandfoundphotos.org) invites people to call in stories. You can hear many stories on my site.
I am a graduate student in Intercultural Relations Program at Lesley University. I am Egyptian. I have been in the U.S. for almost three years. I am interested in film making and digital story telling. In the next few months I am planning to attend different workshops with the Digital Story Telling Center. In Egypt, I worked in community Development for CEDPA (www.cedpa.org). I was specifically working with women empowerment programs. I am interested to be part of the story telling community to learn more about the field.
I run my own consulting company, Eduweave, where I design, develop and implement educational technologies for social change. In collaboration with UNESCO, I had the opportunity to conduct a series of digital storytelling workshops with young women from under-privileged areas in India. I am currently conducting a digital storytelling program at South End Technology Center, training youth as part of 'Learn to Teach, Teach to Learn' program. We are looking at new models for integrating digital storytelling into existing curriculum.
