Biography:

Telling stories in documentary style but in music video form. Day job is in broadcast television, has been for almost 42 years. When I first started editing, electronic editing hadn't been invented yet. I would join two pieces of 2 inch wide videotape with not much more then scotch tape and play back to the network. Edit pulses were viewed through a microscope. The tools sure have changed, my vision hasn't.

Biography:

Started digital video recording stories in June 2007. Using my laptop and web camera I ask people to tell me a story about their neighborhood. After I record the story I use iMovie HD to edit the interview. My goal is to show people that with the most basic tools they can become content creators as well. My next step is to partner with community technology centers and develop a workshop that will show people how to interview, record, upload, and edit their interviews.

Biography:

I'm Associate Director of the Painted Bride Art Center, a multi-disciplinary presenting arts organization in Philadelphia, PA. I met the pied piper, Joe Lambert, about 2 years ago, drank the kool-aid and have been hooked ever since. Before coming to the Bride, my background was in filmmaking and the process of digital storytelling complements my philosophy that everyone has a story to tell that's worth telling the world.

The Bride is in the process of becoming a mid-Atlantic hub for CDS and incorporating digital storytelling into our program offerings and I'm heading those efforts. We recently completed Trading Tales, a digital storytelling project with high school students telling their stories of how they have been impacted by the violence on our city's streets. I've also participated in CDS' train-the-trainer.

I'm extremely pleased to join this community which extends our reach to the far corners of the earth.
