Biography:

I am an artist working in the community presently doing an MA in Arts in the Community at the University of Glamorgan. I have a passionate interest in digital storymaking and am basing my dissertation around the multiplicity of diversity which the digital story telling phenonemom promotes. My main focus will be on examining how something which can start as a deeply personal experience, a means of personal expression and individual creativity, can be shared with, and stimulate others. How it can open a window on historical and cultural identity, be used as an instrument for social change and justice, or a vehicle for promoting community participation and cohesion. As a universal tool Digital stories know no boundaries, they can make us laugh or cry; remind us of half forgotten memories; help us to understand ourselves and other people and teach us understanding and tolerance of others.
