I am currently organising a digital storytelling pilot-project in collaboration with the Sexual Rights Centre (SRC) based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, this summer 2010. Through the use of digital storytelling the pilot-project aims to work with sex workers in the Bulawayo area to help them identify and discuss the challenges they face, to articulate their needs, hopes and priorities and to support their mobilisation and empowerment. I would really like to screen some of stories on sexuality and sex work from the Stories for Change site. I also hope to share some of the participants’ stories from the workshop. It would be great to hear from anyone who has run a similar type of workshop.

I have just completed a Training the Trainers Course in Digital Storytelling and made my own story. I am really interested and excited by the concept of digital stories for patients and how we can use them to benefit the patient but also how we use them to effect change in health organisations.

I am a social worker in the UK and have been working with children, young people and their families for thirty odd years. I am interested in Stories for Change and believe that fostering and adoption provides a wealth of information about vulnerable children and an opportunity for people interested in starting a new career caring for children.
