What is the value of Adult Education?  Why is it important to our communities, state, and country? In 2003, faced with a budget deficit, the Arizona State Legislature recommended complete elimination of state funding for adult education and family literacy.  The crisis marked the begining of a remarkable learning process about government and civic participation. 

A personal story about realizing the connections between environmental damage and birth defects.

Laura Felix created this story as part of the Better Questions, Better Decisions Voter Education Initiative prior to the 2004 elections. Creative Narrations and The Right Question Project ran workshops to create a set of stories about attitudes towards voting by populations that traditionally have low voter turnout. This workshop was held at Pima College Adult Education in Tucson, Arizona.
