Fluid is a new media movement that focuses on the potential of emerging audiovisual artists, without consideration of genre or where they come from.

We created a Digital Story Telling Workshop that flows within the festival opening a space where it’s possible to mix the emotions generated by each other stories. As a result of this search and will to learn we present here 13 voices, 13 personal stories. The participants discover in the process of storytelling the endless resources and the emotions produced by the images, the pictures, the videos allowing them to recreate everything they have in their hearts.

The stories are like toys and building them is like playing. Such was the tone of our workshop that for two months reunited a group of people that every Saturday during the summer met to share experiences, to see their stories grow and to live them now in a different way.

Fluid New Media Laboratory it’s an audiovisual festival that offers an open and flexible space for artistic and audiovisual expressions. Created by Gabriel Roldos under the umbrella of Local Project, it’s based in New York City. It made its first round in 2007 and has currently created 5 events that included the participation of artists from various countries and hundreads of audiovisual pieces from different genres: experimental video, animation, video clips, and interactive digital art.

Fluid, in its second edition, made an open call to collect stories and ideas to be developed on a workshop.

Fluid opens the scene to a new movement of audio visual & performing arts in educational and screening spaces that have cultural programming.
