Elizabeth's Story

The links between political oppression, anti-Semitism, and child sexual abuse are explored as Elizabeth shares the pain of her family’s denial of her victimization in the face of struggling to cope during persecution during the McCarthy era. She concludes in a hopeful place, emerging from her memories of her mother and her own passion for art and creativity. Elizabeth created her story at a CDS 3-day hands-on workshop with survivors of child sexual abuse.
