Some things felt right and normal to me when I was a kid, and as I grew up, I realized my "right and normal" wasn't quite so. This story is about coming back around to my own "right and normal" and feeling FABULOUS about it.

Love the 'roos!
Adam, this is wonderful, so so funny and yet, so much more :) Really well done, and by the way, I wore my wonderwoman swimsuit straight for three summers, until the butt material got all balled up from the concrete and I wasn't allowed out of the house in it anymore.
Wonder Woman!
Adam! This is simply terrific. I'm so glad that I got to see it from here. Made me long for my old Daisy Duke underoos, and it got me thinking about how we really do know from a young age who we really are. Then the rest of life seems to be this cycle of forgetting and remembering again, huh?
Plus, I think I'll have that Wonder Woman song in my head for the next few days...Mil Gracias.
Hi Adam,
Hi Adam, I found a link here through the BMC website. I do very much appreciate hearing your story, and I enjoyed your ability to make your point through humor. I do have to note though that some of the content of the video is not necessarily reflective of my experience as a gay man. I have never found myself identifying more strongly with female characters (and I was a big comic book fan as a kid). I think it is important to note that there is a clear difference between being homosexual and being transgendered. Many gay men feel totally at home in their gender identity and have no dissonance whatsoever about the fact that they are male. I know that your goal here was only to tell your story, which you did a great job of. I just wanted to make this note for other viewers. Take care Adam.
Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for the comment TM. Just to clarify, I really cannot speak to a transgendered experience. This is not a story about being transgendered, nor do I expect it to be a story that every gay man can relate to. I do expect, though, that many people can relate to feeling "different" in a very exposed way at some formative point in their lives, and that those feeling of difference can really have a lasting effect on our life experiences.
Glad you viewed and enjoyed my story!
Sincerely, Adam
