I think its unfair when things like this happen, it hurts the children more than anything. i can relate to your story. my parents also divorced and most of the time, it felt like they wanted us to pick sides too. however, you should never forget that your parents love you & sometimes the best decisions are the ones that hurt the most. I don't believe you were "unthankful", we just tend to think that nothing bad could ruin a perfectly good family. we want to believe that this will last forever, when reality is that forever doesn't last. just hold on to those good memories and don't stay away from your family. maybe things are different now, but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy the moments and make memories out of those too.
