UNITY Workshop for Alaska Native Youth - Workshop

This training was a gathering of youth from Cook Inlet and Togiak who came together and share stories related to the problem of obesity and other health issues affecting young people in rural Alaska today.   Sponsored by UNITY, these stories will be part of a advocacy campaign to promote understanding and healthy solutions.

This digital story describes a radio show that was planned and implemented in October 2007 to provide information about breast health & breast cancer to Alaska Native women in the North Slope of Alaska.  The radio show also served as a vehicle to promote a November 2007 breast cancer screening clinic.
