This short video was talks about by practice as an educator and faculty technology consultant. It reveals some of the things which excite me, or "make me tick." The project was created in MS Photostory as an example of using a simple, free tool to create powerful stories with still images and editing features. This example will be used during workshops and faculty consultation to encourage others to use DST in their teaching practice.

Six youth from the Kino Neighborhoods of Las Vistas, Western Hills, Pueblo Gardens and South Park were chosen to participate in a basic digital storytelling workshop. This is one of the stories. They share their voice to inspire a greater sense of community, understanding and awareness through a glimpse of their struggles and passions.

I'm a PhD candidate in Mass Communication at Wisconsin-Madison studying law and information policy (copyright and laws about broadcasting and the Internet). I've worked at DoIT-Academic Technology for over four years doing consultations on instructional technology (things like course websites).
