Biography:
As a historian I have always been attracted to egohistory as this reflects the impact of formal history on individual's lives. This makes every lifestory worthwhile to tell and to record. In Verhalis we aim to do this using all kinds of audiovisual means. We record stories to pass the on to other generations.... stories that otherwise disappear.....
I have participated in a number of projects that aimend at the augmentation of heritage awareness. F.e. I developed the initial concept for a film festival that presents the re=use of found footage. Is has become an annual event. Furthermore we developed a revolutionary audio film (based on 10:2 surround audio) that takes you into a 19th century romance on a castle. Lately I have become the co-producer of a education concept for the dutch primary schools where children get introduced to culture and liberal arts.
