Born in Lisbon in 1967, with studies in Law (fourth grade Catholic University of Lisbon), has worked mostly as Journalist and Reporter.Between 1989 and 1992 in a National Radio Station, Rádio Renascença, the leader of audiences in Portugal and after 1993 on TVI, a private Television Network having had professional training as ENG – electronic gathering news. After 1998, for familiar motives, became a free lancer and worked both for Independent Producers and TV Channels, writing, editing and producing stories.Currently is finishing two documentaries (one about multiculturalism and the other describing the life and work of a painter) and is also working to establish Digital Storytelling in Portugal as a tool for Media and Computer literacy.  

Ana is Portuguese and landed in the US years ago via a Fulbright scholarship. She has managed and collaborated in several international programs involving IT in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, US, and Venezuela, and is intrigued by intercultural communication in online professional communities, Second Life, and Real Life.

Her perspective on technology is more one of design / aesthetics - and communication - than one of computer science. She enjoys using it and teaching others to have fun with it!
