Biography:

I work as a freelance participatory media facilitator, mainly in digital media and narrative projects often using digital storytelling and more recently using location sensitive media. I work in a range of contexts (local, national & international).  Recent projects include work with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescents, Panos London, Center for Digital Storytelling, Bristol Stories www.bristolstories.org, Knowle West Media Centre www.kwmc.org.uk, Storybox http://www.story-box.co.uk, and Southville Mediascapes Project http://www.mscapers.com/msin/ABA0000010 . I work in a whole range of educational, community and increasingly health contexts. Until recently I was content editor for and continue to consult for www.l8r.uk.net - a BAFTA award winning pioneering interactive drama for learning about life skills.

Formerly a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the West of England focusing on digital media and narrative in the context of social change, I am still engaged in writing and researching on topics relating to media, design & social change, for example, as part of PRADSA (www.technologyandsocialaction.org) and the role of culture in development in particular in regard to HIV prevention and care (www.creativexchange.org).
