Born in Ohio to German immigrant parents, I have collected a 69-year lifetime of stories from my personal and professional experiences. As a writer and artist, teacher, therapist and non-profit administrator, I acquired many skills that allow me to be an active senior in my community. I serve on the Board of our local social services agency and work with the schools and our local Arts Council as a volunteer. My first contact with CDS was in Ukiah CA when I was on the county Arts Council. I have never forgotten that inspiring experience. I have dreamed of creating a community-building storysharing experience in our small remote town and its surrounding areas. I recently participated in a major 3 month long, 160-piece exhibit of the collaborative work of 40 artist and 40 writers. I am currently working to find funding for a collaborative experience involving video, interviewing, digital and theater skills featuring local residents and their stories. We are also working on the acquisition of FCC permission for a local radio station. I am happy to be in touch with you all at CDS.
