Etty describes some familiar feelings at the beginning of her Covid story—stressed, depressed, isolated. The uncertainty raised BIG questions for her. She says, “I didn’t know how to respond to all those changes. Is this the kind of future I want?”  Did you have similar questions?  Do you think the questions would have come up without the pandemic?

Etty says, “I realized I was living a life like a plant without water and sun.” What did she do to turn things around and, as she says, “reconnect with herself”?

Many people found it difficult to connect with other people during the pandemic even when they used Zoom or apps like WhatsApp. What steps did Etty take to rebuild communication with her family? Do you think the pandemic made lasting changes in how we communicate with each other?
